TWIN FALLS, ID – The three victims who died in the In-N-Out shooting in Twin Falls have been identified. The Twin Falls County Coroner has officially identified Ashley Garibay, 23, Christopher Claunch, 59, and Dale Schultz, 66, as the deceased.
Ashley Garibay was an Associate of In-N-Out who relocated to Twin Falls to train new employees. She was assisting customers on Saturday (Aug. 1) when the gunman, Chad Williams, began opening fire both on and near the property.
“Ashley was more than an Associate,” the In-N-Out tribute shared on Instagram read. “She was a valued member of our IN-N-OUT Family, who strongly embodied our values and provided the friendliest service to our Customers, with a smile and warmth that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.”
Dale Schultz was also remembered as a beloved member of his community. The 66-year-old was traveling from Utah with his wife, Reinette Schultz, for a family reunion in Idaho. The couple was stopped at a Tesla charging station near the In-N-Out location in Twin Falls when the gunman approached their vehicle and opened fire directly into the car. Dale died at the scene of the In-N-Out shooting in Twin Falls while his wife was seriously injured.
The Madeleine Choir School in Salt Lake City, Utah, shared a tribute on Facebook this past Monday (Aug. 3) that remembered Dale as “a beloved alumni parent, gifted artist, and member of our extended Choir School family.”
Dale’s brother, Jackson Schultz, also gave a statement to the media. “I would have said that he was the best of the Schultzes,” Jackson said. “He was a man’s man and the best father that I know to his kids.”
Christopher Claunch was killed in the In-N-Out shooting in Twin Falls as well. He moved to the area 30 years ago to pursue a career in law enforcement. More recently, Claunch worked in admissions at Renaissance Ranch, which is a recovery center in Rupert, Idaho.
“He was an all-star,” Claunch’s former co-worker, Clayton Hall, told the press. “He was a rock star, and, just, there are so many men today that have him to thank for their sobriety, and that’s going to be missed because we need a lot more of that.”
