SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – Illustrator Jasmine Green will soon have another title for herself published author. The creative recently signed a new publishing agreement with Harvest House Publishers.
Alive Literary Agency, which represents Green, gave congratulations to their client last month. “New book deal,” the agency told its social media followers last Wednesday (Jul. 29). “Congratulations to Jasmine Green on your new publishing agreement with Harvest House.”
On her website, Jasmine Green describes herself as “a Jesus-loving, chocolate-eating, hand lettering and illustrating creative from Sydney, Australia.” Her forthcoming book, called Toward The Garden Tomb, is a 40-day devotional that revolves around Lent.
Christians recognize Lent as a season of prayer, fasting, and giving. The time period begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Thursday, which is about 50 days before Pentecost.
Catholicism faithfully upholds Lent every year. In recent years, Protestant Christian pastors have joined in participating in the season of prayer and reflection. Jasmine Green’s forthcoming devotional is meant to meet believers where they are, regardless of whether readers have been commemorating Lent for decades or for just a year or two.
In contrast to some devotionals that heavily rely on Church customs to convey Biblical points, Toward The Garden Tomb focuses on the nature of Jesus along with his overall ministry and teachings. The illustrations crafted by Green help the reader further delve into the devotion at hand so morning or evening sessions spent with God are truly impactful.
“Who could’ve imagined picking up my dusty old iPad and Apple Pencil during COVID-19 to learn how to handletter would lead to something like this,” Jasmine Green said this past weekend while expressing excitement for her debut book on Instagram. “It’s been over a year of writing, illustrating, editing, prepping and waiting for this day, and I’m so glad it’s hitting the home stretch,” the creative shared.
“I can’t wait to share so many more exciting things about this book with you in the coming weeks and months.”
Toward The Garden Tomb by Jasmine Green makes its publishing debut on January 12, 2027.
