The Grammy-nominated artist introduced his baptism footage with a heartfelt update about his Christian faith. “A year ago, I got down on my knees and gave my life to Christ,” Posner told his fans. “What is interesting is what happened afterwards,” he added.

Mike Posner told his supporters how he went on a quest to learn everything he could about this new religion he found. The recording artist read everything from the Bible to books by C.S. Lewis and Mother Teresa. In the end, Posner was brought back to the simplicity of the faith.

“For me, to be Christian means to aspire with all your mind, body, and soul to live as Christ did,” the artist shared with his social media followers. “To forgive all other people. To treat all other people, especially the least among us (whether that be the poorest of the poor financially or the loneliest of the lonely) with an impossible level of compassion, grace and most of all love.”

Mike Posner received tons of support and praise from his Instagram followers upon sharing his message and baptism ceremony footage. Jefferson Fisher, author of The Next Conversation: Argue Less, Talk More, wrote, “Beautiful my friend.” Actress Brandy Ledford said, “Thank you for sharing your testimony and for reminding this Christian what it looks like to love harder.”

The spotlight of Hollywood turned to Mike Posner in 2015 when his single ‘I Took a Pill in Ibiza’ became a favorite among party people. The song earned him a Grammy nomination and other notable accolades.

Mike Posner stepped away from the Hollywood scene after subsequent projects did not meet sales expectations. He has since focused on spiritual transformation, which has included dropping his song ‘I Took a Pill in Ibiza’ from sets and replacing it with a faith-based version called ‘I Went Back to Ibiza.’

Some of Posner’s supporters wait in anticipation for what the artist will do with his creativity now that he is a Christian. “I can’t wait to hear what God does with your music and creativity if that is even in this next chapter,” Life Coach Joel Brown said on Wednesday (Aug. 5). “Of all the things you’ve accomplished, this is the greatest,” musician Stanaj shared.
