LEBANON, TN – Global Vision Bible Church is in the thick of getting their new location ready for worship services. Pastor Greg Locke solicited the help of his congregation on Sunday (Aug. 2).
The senior leader gave an open call to anyone with a desire to do manual labor. “We’re going to need all hands on deck every day this week,” Locke said. “Everybody in this room who wants to show up, just show up. The answer is yes. We will put you to work,” the pastor told his congregation.
Pastor Greg Locke reiterated his invitation to helpers by saying, “The answer is yes. We will need you this week. If you can build something, yes. If you can paint something, yes. If you can tear something up – yes, yes, and a thousand times yes. That’s my favorite part.”
Global Vision Bible Church negotiated to end their lease agreement at Maddox Simpson Parkway earlier in the summer. The church began using the warehouse space for worship services in December 2024, after a different location in Lebanon fell through. The new space for Global Vision at 3764 Murfreesboro Road was previously a church.
“It was a church for 20 plus years that actually transitioned out of location here in COVID and went to the Atlanta area, took a few of their people and the money they made from the sale of the building, and started another church,” Pastor Greg Locke told his congregation on Sunday. “And it’s just been sitting vacant as a warehouse, a mattress warehouse,” the clergyman shared.
Although the Murfreesboro Road space is smaller than the location at Maddox Simpson Parkway, Pastor Greg Locke expressed hope that the facility will work well for the congregation.
“I think what’s going to be interesting is you’re going to find out that when you bring family together, revival begins to flow in the walls of a congregation,” the pastor told his members on Sunday.
“Malachi O’Brien told me nothing heals the heart of a hurting church like the energy of a packed room. And so it doesn’t matter to me if we end up having to go to a Saturday night and a Sunday morning to help people for the convenience of getting in and out of the building. I’m telling you this place is going to be stupendous.”
Some have criticized Pastor Greg Locke and Global Vision Bible Church for previous agreements for church space that fell through. The senior leader used the story of Isaac and the Philistines who filled the wells dug by the Biblical patriarch with dirt to explain the setbacks while also forging a new path.
“The first building fell through, and the Philistines covered up the well,” Pastor Locke said. “The second building fell through, and the Philistines covered up the well. But God let us dig a third well, and we’ve reached a place and space of grace where the glory and power of God is going to fall, and this town will never be the same in the name of Jesus.”
Pastor Greg Locke and Global Vision Bible Church will hold the first service in their new location at 3764 Murfreesboro Road this Sunday, August 9, 2026.
