TAMPA, FL – Jenny Weaver, Senior Leader of the Core Group, is determined to keep going despite recent scrutiny. The spiritual leader took to Facebook with her declaration on Monday (Aug. 3). She also shared a photo of a dead bird found near the church’s property in what Weaver believed to be an attempt to cast a spell against her ministry.
“My Assignment hasn’t changed from day one,” Weaver told her supporters and critics on Monday. “It’s only becoming more and more defined,” the spiritual leader exclaimed. “I know what I’m called to do and no demon in hell can stop it.”
Jenny Weaver made a public statement last Friday (Jul. 31) to address criticism she has received from former students of her Core Group over the past few weeks. “I’ve seen people come and people go, all of those who were top leadership positions and know me extremely well who over years transitioned out. I’m still in communication with and love them dearly,” the spiritual leader said.
Some have accused Jenny Weaver of idolatry because of her admiration for Ryan LeStrange of Impact International Ministries, who she publicly recognizes as her spiritual father. Others have scrutinized Weaver for allegedly allowing people to idolize her in the Core Group.
“I know some have said others have idolized me, and it’s not something I desire or want,” Jenny Weaver clarified. “It hurts my heart to see. I actually hate it,” she added.
In addition to criticism from former students of the Core Group, Weaver and her ministry have faced bizarre attacks from non-congregants, which include a dead bird placed in an upside down position on the church’s gate.
“Y’all witchcraft is real and we bind it in the mighty name Jesus,” Jenny Weaver shared on Monday (Aug. 3) along with the photo of the deceased animal stuck on the gate. “IT WON’T WORK,” the spiritual leader exclaimed. “Cancelled – bye bye devil.”
Weaver followed up that post on Tuesday (Aug. 4) with screenshots of individuals mocking her ministry. “Hundreds of witches and satan worshippers came on to my post,” Jenny Weaver said of the responses to her initial post about the dead bird. “The enemy is extremely mad at what our church and ministry is doing in Tampa in the region and around the globe but WE STAND STRONG – God said I AM WITH YOU.”
The Core Group is Jenny Weaver’s flagship ministry, which consists of thousands of women who pay $20 for a monthly subscription that grants them access to teachings and meetings provided by Weaver. The Core Revival Center, which is more of a church, formed from the initial online sessions and hubs.
