Todd White Responds To Lifestyle Christianity Criticism: ‘I Am Deeply Sorry’

WATAUGA, TX — Todd White, senior leader of Lifestyle Christianity ministries, has issued a statement after a four-hour-long video recently labeled him a fraud. The pastor released a nearly nine-minute-long video on Friday (Feb. 20).

“You know, for my Christian life, I’ve tried to stay very, very close to The Lord,” White told his supporters and critics. “And I’m very thankful for that,” he added.

Mike Winger, YouTuber and Christian watchdog, released a detailed video earlier this month in which he implied Todd White to be both a liar and an abuser. Winger had written statements from former staff members of Lifestyle Christianity who claimed Todd White “lies about lying.” They, along with Winger, called for major reforms in the ministry.

In his video message last Friday, Todd White said God had been “confirming” the ways people who served in his ministry had been harmed.

“There are people out there who are wounded or distant from God, and it’s through my leadership,” White shared. “I am deeply sorry,” he added.

Todd White asked forgiveness for missteps with Lifestyle Christianity.

“Repentance to me isn’t just a word. It’s actually changing the way that you think. And it’s thinking from God’s perspective towards a situation,” the evangelist explained.

“Sometimes, at the pace and the way that we were running and trying to make sure that we got everything done, sometimes that is something that falls to the back,” Todd White said during his update.

“I take full responsibility for any confusion, all pressure, any kind of pain that I might have caused in our journey to try to get things done,” White told his supporters and critics.

“Repentance isn’t just a moment. It’s an actual continued lifestyle of surrender. And I welcome correction and the people around me to actually give me that. I don’t want just ‘yes’ people. I need people who want to see this go forward in the best way that we possibly can.”
