MARICOPA, AZ – Patricia King, of Patricia King Ministries (PKM) and Women in Ministry Network, has announced the death of her husband, Ron. The minister shared news of the passing of her spouse of 53 years on social media on Friday (Feb. 13).

“With deep love and tender gratitude for a life beautifully lived, I share that Ron, my beloved husband of almost 53 years, peacefully passed into his eternal glory at 5:55 a.m. Mountain Time in Maricopa, Arizona, on February 13,” Patricia King told her supporters.
“Ron was a wonderful and kind servant and the best husband and father to me and our two sons, Chad and Sean. He was generous in spirit, steady in love, and sincere in his care for others. He loved everyone—and truly was loved by all who knew him. His quiet strength, humility, and faithfulness marked every season of his life.”
News of Ron’s passing came days after Patricia King stepped away from ministry to care for her spouse in the midst of accusations against him. The Board of Directors of Patricia King Ministries released a statement last Thursday (Feb. 5), after a woman alleged Ron sexually abused her in 2001.
“I want to state clearly: I never knowingly covered up this incident,” Patricia King said in reference to accusations of her covering up Ron’s alleged wrongdoing and even blaming the victim at one point for the reported assault. “I acted on the information that was disclosed to me by her and my husband at the time,” King assured her ministry partners.
“My husband was not a leader in our ministry, was not on staff, and did not hold spiritual authority within the organization. Nevertheless, the situation was addressed seriously, with accountability and pastoral oversight. At the same time, I recognize that situations involving boundary violations and complex relational dynamics can leave lasting wounds, even when corrective action is taken.”
At the time of the letter’s release, Ron was living in a memory care unit with advanced dementia, which made him unable to share his side of the story concerning the allegations. In Friday’s announcement, Patricia King thanked her supporters for their unwavering love during the family’s time of bereavement.
“As a family, we have been deeply blessed by the many of you who have reached out with prayers, encouragement, and heartfelt expressions of love,” the minister said. “We are so grateful for your kindness in this tender moment. Your support has carried us more than you know.”
