Kim Porter’s Kids Slam Unauthorized Memoir Of Late Model As ‘Simply Untrue’

LOS ANGELES, CA – The children of the late Kim Porter are speaking out in rebuke of Chris Todd who released an unauthorized memoir of the model earlier this month. Jessie, D’Lila, Quincy, and Chance published a statement on Instagram that denounced the book’s accuracy this past Tuesday (Sept. 24).

“We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives,” Porter’s children wrote in their statement. “Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories.”

Kim Porter passed away on November 15, 2018, after battling with pneumonia for several days. The model had “flu-like” symptoms that reportedly worsened despite receiving medical care from a doctor. Kim was 47 years old at the time of her death. Her twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila, were weeks shy of their twelfth birthday when their mother passed away.

“Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue,” Kim’s kids said in their statement. “She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves,” the children declared.

“Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother,” Jessie, D’Lila, Christian, and Quincy said in their statement addressing Todd’s unauthorized memoir. “She was our world, and nothing has been the same since she passed,” Porter’s kids shared.

“While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could have been taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established,” Jessie, D’Lila, Christian, and Quincy emphasized. “There was no foul play,” the kids concluded.

“Grief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone respect our request for peace as we continue to cope with her loss every day.”

Chris Todd has defended the information shared in his unauthorized memoir of Kim Porter by claiming to have been provided the information by individuals in the music industry. Todd has yet to reveal his sources.
