“It is with great sadness that I announce the closure of Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools at the end of the 2025/2026 school year,” Evans told the families. “After four amazing decades of operation, it is unfortunately time for us to cease operations.”

Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools began as a child care center in 1985. An elementary school was added in 1986, with a middle school following in 1987. The high school was added to the institution in 1992, thus offering families a complete Christian education experience in one place.

“No one wants to see this school continue more than I do,” Angela Evans told families in her letter. “However, after much prayer, reflection, and careful consideration, we are faced with a necessary ending.”

Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools was at risk of closure in 2018. Administrators, however, were able to avoid shuttering operations at that time largely due to contributions from Crenshaw Christian Center, which is the church connected to Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools.

“Since its inception, the school has been generously subsidized by Crenshaw Christian Center, enabling us to continue operations well beyond what tuition alone could sustain,” Evans revealed in her letter to the families impacted by the school’s closure.

“However, continuing this level of subsidy for the school is no longer possible nor sustainable,” the co-founder said when addressing the notion of Crenshaw Christian Center making up the difference of the school’s financial crisis that is partially tied to low enrollment.

“Continuing operations would require millions of dollars in endowment and gap funding to allow our dedicated Principal, Preschool Director, and staff the time to complete the important work they have begun,” Evans shared.

“However, because time is of the essence for families who must make plans for the next academic year, we believe it is responsible to share this decision with you now so that you may pursue enrollment options before August.”

Angela Evans expressed gratitude for the impact of Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools in the community.

“We are deeply proud of what has been accomplished and of the thousands of young people whose lives were shaped at Price Christian Schools. Thank you for the trust you have placed in us, for your partnership, and for allowing us the privilege of serving your children.”

Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools will cease operations of its K-12 school on June 10, 2026. The preschool division will close on June 30, 2026.
