CROFTON, MD – Dr. Valerie Moore of Valerie Moore Enterprise is making sure underprivileged kids in North Carolina have lunch. The evangelist recently thanked her ministry partners with a video message that showed how their donations were being used to purchase food for lunchtime at local schools.
“What we have learned is that there are children, as you all know, that sometimes the lunch food is their only food,” Dr. Moore began her message online. “And unfortunately, [through] no fault of the school, but some of them (sic) kids are getting denied food because maybe their parents have [a] lunch bill, or maybe the school has ran (sic) out of money. And they can’t eat.”
According to Feeding America, one in five children in North Carolina suffers from food insecurity. In more plain numbers, approximately 438,000 kids do not know where their next meal is coming from in the Tar Heel State.
“We here at Valerie Moore Enterprise, thank you to all of our partners who have sown into this, we are going to take several thousands of dollars worth of food down to the school to make sure, at least for the next few months, that those kids can have some lunch, and they’ll be able to eat,” Dr. Moore said of her ministry’s efforts to feed the children in North Carolina.
“I just can’t imagine a child going through a line and being told you can’t eat because your parents are struggling right now, doing the best they can to feed and to make provision for the children, can’t afford to pay the bill,” the evangelist went on to say in reference to children missing out on lunch due to overdue food bills at school.
“This is what the Church is about,” Moore said. “This is what ministry is all about. This right here is real ministry. We’re just trying to feed the children right here in the state of North Carolina. [We want] to make sure that no child goes home hungry.”
Dr. Valerie Moore is best known as a traveling evangelist who has prophetic insight. She recently did a segment with BET, posted to TikTok, during which she advised moms and dads to give their kids the attention they need.
“Parents, pay attention to your children,” Dr. Moore suggested. “We have seen it in the past, where parents are sending their children to school and saying, ‘I’ll see you later,’ and later never comes,” the evangelist said.
“Let’s just make sure that we are covering our children [in prayer] before they walk out of that door,” Dr. Valerie Moore urged. “Pay attention to the games [your children are] playing, and what they’re looking at on TV, and all of these other communication devices that they have.”
