LEBANON, TN — (10:30 a.m., PST) – Pastor Greg Locke of Global Vision Bible Church is refuting rumors of him planning to take his church to an undisclosed location. The clergyman took to social media on Thursday (Jul. 23) to bring clarity to his announcement of the church having a new location.
“Lay aside the silly rumors and the false news articles that we are meeting in secret at some undisclosed location,” Pastor Locke began. “Nonsense,” he added.
“We will be at the warehouse this Sunday. It was going to be our final service there, but we will remain for another week or so while continued renovations and preparation take place on our building in another part of Lebanon.”
Pastor Greg Locke announced plans to move Global Vision Bible Church from its current location on Maddox Simpson Parkway in Lebanon the past Sunday (Jul. 19).
“Next Sunday will be our final service in the warehouse,” the pastor said during the offering segment of the service. “But I’m not going to tell you until next Sunday where we’re going,” Pastor Locke shared with his congregation.
“Sometimes you just sit back and humbly accept the blessings of The Lord, and not open your mouth so that the enemy can’t sabotage what the Holy Ghost is doing,” the clergyman said in explanation for why he was not sharing the details about the church’s new location. “Here’s the only thing I’ll say: we’ll have air conditioning. To God be the glory.”
Pastor Locke doubled down on his reasoning for not sharing the exact location of Global Vision’s new site in his update on Thursday.
“The only reason the address has not been publicly released is because of the ridiculous number of people actively working to sabotage any movement or progress for the church,” the clergyman said. “We will make announcements about the final move as soon as we are ready to get into the facility,” Locke assured. “We will see everyone this Sunday.”
Global Vision Bible Church’s move to a new location comes weeks after Pastor Greg Locke’s home was raided by federal agents. The senior leader of the church revealed that the search was set in motion by former members who publicly accused Locke of mismanaging church funds.
The raid occurred in the midst of the family grieving the sudden death of Pastor Locke’s son, Evan Locke. “Our lives have been turned inside out,” Pastor Greg Locke said of the experience. “It has been a journey.”
