The Mind Games! The Mind Games! 3 Devotional Book Recs

In many respects, identity can be classified as a mental concept that manifests in natural form. If we believe that we are hopeless, then we are indeed hopeless. But if we believe that there is always hope, then there is certainly always hope (Proverbs 23:7). If we can get our minds right, then there is a great possibility that the rest will follow in our lives. And so, in honor of gathering our thoughts, here are three devotionals that focus on identity and the mind.

Altar Ego Bible Study Guide: Becoming Who God Says You Are by Craig Groeschel

The world is constantly trying to assign identities that do not belong to us. Craig Groeschel invites us to take a deeper look at scripture to learn about what God says about His creation and how we should respond to the false labels the world tries to force us to accept. This isn’t a Bible study for those looking to build their egos. This is a guide for individuals willing to surrender their ambitions and take on the mind of Jesus in all things. Altar Ego Bible Study Guide: Becoming Who God Says You Are includes discussion questions and other supplemental material meant to help you discover God’s true plan for your life.

Every Thought Captive (Bible Study) by Kyle Idleman

The mind has a way of racing ahead of our actions when we allow it to run wild. This is why we are advised in scripture that take captive every thought and submit it to the Lordship of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Every Thought Captive by Kyle Idleman is a five-session Bible study meant to challenge you to be intentional about your thinking. This guide includes access to five streaming videos as well as personal study in between sessions and video notes for those looking to go deeper into the subject matter.
