Holy Week may be over, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop improving your life. Memoirs have a way of leading us down a path of gratitude. As we gain knowledge about someone else’s struggles, we tend to take note of our journeys and be thankful. This week, I want to highlight a woman who began writing her life’s story after finishing a TEDx talk. I also want to shed light on someone who endured the pain of infertility and came out with encouragement for other women facing the same trial. And, there is a cool picture book about the importance of grandparents. How amazing is that?
Consider adding these books to your TBR list this weekend!

But God by Marquisha Williams
Marquisha Williams leaves nothing on the table in her bold memoir, But God. She delves into her experience with infertility and offers hope to women facing the same struggle. Williams firmly believes there is a pathway to healing from pain and disappointments. Her quest with this book is to help readers discover it.

Me by Laverne Toombs
Laverne Toombs served as a TEDx speaker in 2022. It was during her talk about “The F-Bomb” that she discussed her journey to forgiving someone for the pain they inflicted on her in the past. After the TEDx event, family and friends encouraged Toombs to begin writing her life’s story. And so she did. Me is Laverne Toombs sharing how she used her faith to navigate difficult moments. The author takes readers through the heartbreak she has endured, the betrayal she has encountered along life’s journey, and the many ways she has remained triumphant through it all.

Sian’s Adventures with Grandma and Grandpa by Jocilyn Carver
Sian is spending summer break with her grandparents. She does everything from gardening to baking while spending time with them. Jocilyn Carver highlights the importance of grandparents in Sian’s Adventures with Grandma and Grandpa.
